FR- Osman S/S 2011 LFW

WHEN  18th September 2010

Front Row at Osman Yousefzada’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection revealed slightly unusual and feminine tailored pieces were contrasted with flowing shapes, creating a full-grown and unique statement.

Osman’s collection conveyed the love for asymmetry with his playful approach. Some of his designed were truly modern with a sense of slightly futuristic. With flared trousers, cropped tops, structured shift dresses and pencil skirts.
The show started off with quiet, wearable pieces, then building up to Osman’s asymmetry with his playful, dramatic approach with draped silk dresses in soft apple green, blossom pink and bold citrus yellow for big occasions.
The designs were minimalist paired without jewellery or accessories so they eye firmly focused on the sophisticated fabric mixes.
My favourite and most memorable pieces included a beautiful lime green feminine dress with fitted silk top and flowing two layered jersey skirt, but there was much to admire in this very impressive show.

Osman After fashion show – Saint Martins Hotel

Held at one of my favorite hotel Saint Martin’s Lane Osman Yousefzada's after-party held in conjunction with the Observer and Tank magazine was the place to be.  The event was sponsored by classy gin brand Tanqueray, and the only drink that appeared to be on offer was a neat glass of the hard stuff served with just a twist of lemon rind as mixer and a great atmosphere.
