'  Rugby Ralph Lauren Tweed Run for London '
In November, Rugby Ralph Lauren teamed up with Tweed Run to create the Rugby Ralph Lauren Tweed Run for London. The event look to bring the one-of-a-kind cycling event to Central London, with all its classic tweed styles and British heritage influence coming along for the ride.

Saturday 26th November,  Ralph Lauren held their first ever Rugby Ralph Lauren Tweed Run in London. Athletic men in good clothes - I know you are thinking what I'm thinking, selected Londoners including I participated and gathered at the Rugby Ralph Lauren, Covent Garden store.

The bike run is a 12-mile recreational bike ride around London, with riders dressed up in tweed. The aim of the cycle is to show how tweed can be young, cool and fashion forward. It brings together Ralph Lauren’s legacy of traditional tweed and heritage looks, but with Rugby’s streetwise twist.  This was such a incredible event thanks to the Ralph Lauren team and Team Pencil.

Rugby’s involvement this year, sponsoring the three Tweed Runs in New York last October, London and Tokyo, the event really stands as further proof of the continued preppy and heritage style revival. Though all the funds raised do go to World Bicycle Relief, the charity that provides children living in poverty with bikes.

A special thanks to Team Ralph Lauren and Team Pencil for a incredible day! See you in 2012!

  1. LOL that's me right in front of you in the fourth photo, wheeling our bikes in Belgrave Square - trying to find somewhere to park them in the melee, as I recall!
