An introduction to McCann Bespoke London

Happy Fashion Week FashionMisters. So last week I was introduced to a stylish bespoke company thanks to a stylish friend Mr Katesph.

The McCann Bespoke business was started by Neil on his own from an office in Richmond, London over 12 years ago. He started by just going round and purely visiting clients in their offices in and around London. As word spread and he got busier the company decided to move into central london (The Savoy about 2 years ago). This enabled them to have a showroom and allow customers to come and see them for the first time, although the visiting service is still a major part of the business. Now with there first shop premises opening, they hope to increase there client base further and allow customers to not only book appointments but also drop in at their convenience.

The McCann Personal Tailoring experience is a luxury approach to formal menswear. This comprehensive made to measure service perfectly represents the modern effortless stylish man. The bespoke company has a very large following in sports and a credible list from pundits, journalists to celebrity ambassadors.

The celeb clients includes:
Cricket
Stuart Broad (England T20 Captain and fast bowler)
Steve Finn (England fast bowler)
Jos Buttler (England Wicketkeeper)
Matt Prior (England Wicketkeeper)
We are also the Official clothing supplier to Middlesex County Cricket Club

Broadcasting
Nassar Hussein (Ex England cricket captain, sky sports pundit)
Michael Atherton (same as above)
Darren Gough (ex England cricketer, talk sport presenter)
Mike Turnbull (BBC Breakfast presenter)

Football
Gareth Southgate (Ex England footballer and England U21 Manager)
Mark Hughes (Stoke City FC Manager)
Alan Curbishley (Ex West Ham and Charlton Manager)

In terms of ethics, they believe in a easy going approach where all customers are made to feel welcome in a uncompromising and non intimidating environment. They try and concentrate on one client at one time and give every customer the time and effort they deserve. Just because someone is paying £700 for a suit that doesn’t make them more important than someone who is paying £3000!

When I meet the team at McCann, I discovered an open and honest relationship between staffs. They focus on the customers needs and desires.  To ensures every detail is explored to craft your perfect suit. So keen an eye out for my bespoke suit :)

Prices are as follows, Suits start from £695, Shirts from £130, jackets £495, Coats £895, chinos £210. This is a list of everything we do in vague terms. Suits, shirts, casual jackets, casual trousers, ties, shoes, socks, hand made Italian leather goods, silver wear, dinner suits, morning coats, smoking jackets.

' A Modern Romance with Aquascutum SS14 '

This SS14 Inspired by understated British elegance that never goes out of fashion, Aquascutum reveals the style elements of their 162 year history with an offering of iconic pieces that focus on future trends.

Behind the Scenes of Aquascutum’s Spring Summer Campaign 2014

Working with brand communications agency Crave, Aquascutum reappointed Swedish photographer Andreas Sjodin, to capture the distinctive feel of the SS14 collection. Sjodin’s work reflects both the structured and elemental beauty of the garments, which were brought to life by Austrian/German supermodel Werner Schreyer for the second season running, and British-born model Helena Greyhorse.

Menswear for the Modern Gentleman

The SS14 collection balances the tailoring and luxe fabrics of outerwear, evening and casual wear to elevate the silhouette of the modern gentleman. Representing the rebirth of Aquascutum’s British values, the direction of the menswear looks encompasses strength of craftsmanship that will expand the reach of his wardrobe; embracing blacks, browns and rust-reds for the season.

' SS14 Men's Floral Trends '

Floral prints get me so excited - For most men I know its like Marmite either you like it or you don't. But the trick is all in the styling. This spring/summer collections of course prove more fertile for print fans than the darker autumn/winter collections, and SS14 was no different. Florals made an appearance, in bold tones at Prada, as well as more subdued colours at Dries Van Noten. Florals also showed up at Raf Simons and in a colourful mushroom print at Paul Smith.

The New Look Floral prints feature heavily throughout the streetwear-inspired casual line, with short sleeve shirts, shorts, t-shirts and lightweight jackets taking centre stage. The Hawaiian grey and peach floral all-over print bomber jacket is a particular highlight. Priced at £34.99 it features a zip-up front, cuffed wrists and hem and comes in a slim fit.

' SS14 Men's Trend Tonals

This SS14 I'm in love with the Tonal colours. Tonal outfits proved to be another trend. All black was popular as always, as was all white, shown in collections at Balenciaga and Patrik Ervell (pictured), as well as Siki Im, Yohji Yamamoto and a whole host of others. Some designers took their tonal designs into the realms of actual colours. HermΓ¨s was a notable contributor, and Umit Benan’s green ensemble (pictured) was a fairly conservative example, and tonal outfits also made appearances at KTZ, albeit in more experimental silhouettes.
