WHAT Fashion First Timer at McAthurGlen Designer Outlet
On Friday, I arrived and stayed at The Abode, Chester where I was greeted by Claire, Jen and Isa who took me out for drinks then dinner at Joseph Benjamin. This was my very first time ever in Chester and I already loved the history, restaurants and the people of course.
The next day, the team and I met up with Disneyrollergirl at the management suite, where we were both given a £300 gift card to spend on the items and brands of our choice. We also had to pick our edit of five key spring summer pieces. Where the team from McArthurGlen bought the items and give them away as a prize on McArthurGlen Twitter. We were both told to select our five key SS14 items and then chat through your edit, why you chose them, the brands etc.
The team then showed us around McAthurGlen before our challenge to familiarise ourselves with the shops and high street stores. After an hour we separated while we each filmed our picks and from each of the stores. Lucky, prior to the observation I knew exactly what shops to hit and how much to spend and to my immense surprise, the shops I picked were generously stocked with amazing items that were in fashion and trend this season highly appealing to me as a fashionmister particularly the luxury brands such as Reiss, Church’s, Polo Ralph Lauren with HUGE reductions from the RRP.
We then stopped for a delightful lunch at Ed's Diner, where we gossip about what we picked and the unbelievable discount price and note to all this was my very first time at the Designer outlet store and I was extremely impressed with what I saw.
Lets talk about the stores, filtering through 145 brands including Polo Ralph Lauren, Joseph, Reiss and Church’s, and thousands of product on offer wasn’t easy, but the style experts rose to the challenge, picking out the key pieces for style savvy men and women everywhere. You can go and come away armed with inexpensive goodies sold at discounted prices – typically between 30% and 70% off.
Gap, All Saints, Diesel, Levi's, picking up many little bargains. But there's far more than that, there are sports shops, electronics stores, homeware outlets, the list just goes on. You'd find it hard to visit everything in a single day, and it would take me about five pages to list everything. I'd heartily recommend that you download the online store guide before you go and perhaps print out a copy to ensure that you don't get lost or miss anything.
After finishing picking our SS14 edits we went back to management suite where we filmed a short film. Check out my bargains and trend tips below.
