Best Dressed Judge at The Grand National 2014

WHAT  The Grand National 2014
WHEN  22nd April 2014
WHERE Online

Earlier this month, The AMAZING team from Liverpool ONE and Think Publicity invited me (Prince Cassius), Lydia Abraham from (Fashion Influx) and Naomi Roland from (Two Shoes, One Pair) to be Judges at the Crabbie’s Grand National 2014 Ladies’ Day Best Dressed Competition. Having already worked with Liverpool ONE before and judged Best Dressed at the races it was an honour.

Liverpool ONE is one of Europe’s leading retail and leisure destinations, set in the heart of Liverpool City Centre. Built around the existing streets of Liverpool, the 1.65 million sq ft contemporary open-air complex is a stylish must-see destination for those who love to shop, eat, drink and relax.

Liverpool ONE includes over 160 stores, bars and restaurants, a fantastic 14 screen cinema, an indoor adventure golf course and a five-acre park. Stores include high street favourites such as Topshop, John Lewis and Debenhams. Peter’s Lane, Liverpool ONE’s designer fashion hub, is the home of big brand style. It plays host to stores including Whistles, Radley, Reiss, Hobbs, The Kooples, Karen Millen, Tessuti and Flannels. You’ll also find Beauty Bazaar, Harvey Nichols, the ultimate luxury beauty experience and one-stop destination for all things beauty. The boutique arcade is nestled perfectly within Liverpool ONE, neighbouring other big high street brands.

Liverpool ONE were the Official Style Partner of The Crabbie’s Grand National 2014. The Ladies’ Day Best Dressed competition took place on Friday 4 April with the prize for one lucky winner including an exclusive holiday to the Dominican Republic worth £10,000 as well as a £250 Gift Card to spend at Liverpool ONE, every month for a year - how amazing does that does.

We arrived at The Crabbie’s Grand National in the morning and were whisked away to the stylish lounge sponsored by Liverpool ONE. The lounge was a stylish destination where me and the judges would scout for the most stylish ladies and guide them to turn up and register. The judges and I went separate ways throughout the day to scout for the most stylish ladies and eventually met up mid afternoon to checkout each others taste.

After lunch we all gathered back again Naomi was looking for a lady with style and a matching hat. Lydia was looking someone well put together and stylish also. Finally, I was looking for a personality, a character, someone also stylish but with a sense of effortlessly done up.

Having more than 70 stylish ladies who entered, the judges were sent to a V.I.P room to break that number down to top 10 each so 30 ladies in total. Believe me that was harder than it sounds. The Best Dressed where then announced and called to the stage where drinks awaited them.

I must say, having a large public audiences even made it harder but we truly enjoyed our top 10 stylish Best Dressed. After the Best Dressed nominees mingled, the judges were then called back to the V.I.P room to finally select ONE stylish lady per person. The Three Best Dressed were then put forward onto the public and announced to vote for the any of them via Liverpool ONE facebook, however the final decisions would be left for the Judges.

The Gorgeous Three Finalist

All the three stunning finalists were incredible stunning but after long and tough considerations the Judges and I finally decided the WINNER had to be Becky Nightingale. We choose Becky Nightingale as she had style from head to toe, she was a character and truly deserved it. Becky Nightingale, dressed in a floral print and coordinating pastel shades, the must have colour palette this Spring/Summer.

Becky's effortless style and choice of pastels have gained her the title of Best Dressed Lady at this year’s Crabbie's Grand National, as well as a fantastic £10,000 holiday to the Dominican Republic, £250 every month for a year to spend at Liverpool ONE and a £260 necklace and bracelet from Hot Diamonds.

Check out Becky's interview from Liverpool ONE (here)

Congrats once again Becky. We hope you enjoy that fantastic holiday and spending money at Liverpool ONE & Also not forgetting the gorgeous Necklace and Bracelet.

A massive THANK YOU to the entire TEAM at Liverpool ONE - LOVE YOU GUYS! A big Thank you again from me and the judges.

Also a special thank you to Think Publicity in Liverpool without you all I wouldn't be doing what I love.

Miss you all x
