This Autumn Selfridges celebrates the pioneers of fashion with its AW14 creative project The Masters. The twelve masters, from Jean Paul Gaultier to Yohji Yamamoto, have each created one iconic piece or capsule collection that symbolises their place in the fashion landscape. These will be displayed in the windows of Selfridges Oxford Street presented in a filmic genre during September and October. 

Coinciding with the exhibition is a special collaboration between Selfridges, Vertu and SHOWstudio that sees each master’s theme brought to life with a series of tailor-made moving images by Marie Schuller.

Tesco clothing label F&F have unveiled men’s AW14 collection. F&F men’s AW14 collection looks sophisticated and appears like nothing you would have expected from an affordable brand.

The AW14 pieces features slim denims, tailored single breasted suits with waist coats, velvet ties, navy, mustard soft knitwear and focuses on the importance of the coat; peacoats are sharper than ever before, whilst the bomber jacket is realised as a wardrobe icon, updated by new season fabrications. Traditional tailoring techniques create razor sharp suits, that maintain a slim silhouette. Printed shirting and textured knitwear gives a new dimension to formalwear.

Meanwhile heritage patterns such as herringbone are updated by playing with scale and colour, with graphic prints and florals providing a stylish subversion. An intense colour palette sees black, inky navy, teal and charcoal grey mixed with warmer berry, wine and neutral shades.

Whist in the Womenswear this season F&F explores textures, colours and lengths in the new silhouettes of the season. We see new shapes in luxe fabrics that play with length and volume. From longer, dropped silhouettes to a nod to the 60’s with shorter lengths. Layering of coats, sweaters, skirts and trousers in mixed fabrications. The collection is elegant, yet there’s still a play on languid lines with long slips and voluminous floral dresses.

The collection moves from light to darkness in dramatic colour palettes of black and grey with dark berry shades and metallics. There’s a hint of 90’s goth in sheer black separates which are mixed with heavier pieces. Embellishment and bejewelled fabrics add an indulgence and drama.

Fur, in every size, shape and colour arrives on oversized coats and stoles, worn to add a chic appeal when mixed with a sharp tailoring making for a retro-ladylike feel.

I was recently invited for a press breakfast for the launch of PH Advantage with Dr Barry Cohen at Harvey Nichols fifth floor cafe Knightsbridge. 


The boosters regimen is designed to help boost the effectiveness of other regimens by helping ingredients work harder and more effectively. As the other regimens repair and maintain the skin,they also clear the way for the Booster products like our Vitamin A and Vitamin C products. These penetrate deeper into the skin, whilst other boosters help with exfoliation and skin lightening. Key ingredients include Vitamin A Retinyl Palmitate Polypeptide, Vitamins A and C, GABA, Hyaluronic. Acid, Aloe and Co-enzyme Q10.

Tried and Tested: Glycolic Exfoliating Pads At Home Peel Treatment (£55) – this is pH Advantage’s Hero Product, this is the ultimate skin renewal system.
