Introducing Moss Bros Tailor Me Experince

WHAT Introducing Moss Bros Tailor Me Experince
WHEN  21st June 2016
WHERE  Online

Last month, I attended Moss Bros press day held at Cafe Royal, which was divine. The AW16 pieces are to die for (can't wait to show you all soon). I was then introduced to Moss Bros Tailor Me: a contemporary take on the traditional made-to-measure service. I had the pleasure to experience the Tailor Me service first hand.

I firstly selected from the range of fabric and suits available then I had a seat down with someone from the team. The gentleman who assisted me was wonderful. Everything that I wanted for example one button, length, how cropped the trousers should be were all recorded on the iPad.

We then moved to the fitting room where I tried on the suit and sizes and could personally alter them. As you all know I wear a lot of Moss Bros suits and I like them a certain fit and style. For example my trademark trousers are always cropped, length of blazers always shorter and so on. In my eyes this is the way to the future.

Guaranteed to fit
Rooted in the history of one of Britain’s best-known high-street retailers, Tailor Me combines their 165 years of experience in outfitting British gentlemen with a thoroughly contemporary approach to individual style. Guaranteed to fit the customer perfectly, Tailor Me is a unique prospect in the high street, and is set to become the flagship service of Moss Bros.

A tailor-made process
Completed entirely by fully trained in-store staff, the Tailor Me process has been simplified and streamlined to provide the highest possible level of personalisation in an in-store service. After an initial consultation with one of the helpful tailoring experts, fabric selections and fit details are noted down, along with all of the individual detailing that makes a Tailor Me suit truly unique.

Fabrics to suit every man
The range of fabrics for the Tailor Me service already includes options from the prestigious Cerruti, Zegna and Savoy Tailor’s Guild collections, as well as Moss Bros’ extensive collection of its own fabrics, and of course a wealth of lining options. Additionally available are a further 47 premium quality wool fabrics, hand-selected and exclusive to Tailor Me.

The devil is in the details
The breadth and variety of personalization options means there’s a practically infinite number of options, ensuring that your suit is truly unique. From lapel shapes to monogramming, stitching style to pocket finish, the final details on your jacket are up to you, and the 5 different tailored alterations ensure that it fits you like a glove.

Once all the details and options have been confirmed, the suit is delivered just 30 days later, for an additional cost of £100 over the base price of a suit.

The Results

After receiving the suit, I was called back to the Regent Street store to try on the suit and let me tell you the suit came out immaculate, from the trousers length to the size of the blazer. I was truly happy with the result. This is an incredible service for regular customers and frequent ones too. My information such as my measurement etc has been recorded and if I wanted another suit all I would do would pick the fabric and I wouldn't need to be measured again as everything on the system.

Happy Days!

London Collection: Men SS17 Highlights

WHAT London Collection: Men SS17 Highlights

Another "London Collections: Men" has come to a close, and what a ride it was. London menswear is often unique but never dull, and this season saw everything. Read my guide to the most memorable moments – plus the take-away trends to know for next spring and summer 2017.

Gandhum SS17

The SS17 collection undoubtedly emulated British class with style.  The well-groomed gentlemen were styled in immaculate linen shirts, printed trousers and ties, ranging from casual wear to evening wear. This was one of the most creative presentation and collection I had seen throughout LC:M and was extremely impressed. The GANDHUM SS16 accessories range is now exclusively available at the home of independent luxury fashion, Wolf & Badger, London and international expansion is planned.

Velsoir SS17 Presentation

Always one of my favourite presentation throughout LC:M, Velsvoir announced an exclusive collection for London Collections: Men SS17. The collection follows the Velsvoir journey from the signature velvet bow ties, designing a series of looks apt for a summer soirée that draws inspiration from heritage whilst evolving the aesthetic for the modern dandy. The collection was full of electric seasonal dusky cotton velvet tuxedos for the SS17 range.
Can’t wait to get my hands on them!

Thomas Pink SS17

On Saturday 11 June 2016, the stylish yet modern British shirt maker Thomas Pink showcased the best of its spring summer 17 business range, in an effort to reinforce the brand’s commitment to providing men with immaculately cut and finished formal shirting, five days a week. Models clad in their underwear were one way to highlight the dress shirts and accessories at Thomas Pink's presentation. Shirts were styled with crisp cotton boxer shorts. I really have to say Thomas Pink really knows how to attract a crowd's attention.

Simon Carter SS17

Simon Carter the iconic British menswear designer showcased his SS17 collection once again held at the Union club. Simon Carter pieces burst with colour and prints and inject a contemporary lightness of touch to ones personal style. The collection allows wearers to have a fresh, stylish look but still ensures that dapperness to it.  Yet again, always one of my favourite LC:M presentations and the man is fabulous, how can you not love him!

Superdry SS17
The SS17 #SuperdrySport Collection is an evolution of Superdry’s aspirational design story, offering essential items for everyday fitness as well as capsule collections for Athleisure, Yoga, Gym, Running and Cycle.
In the meantime, you can shop selected products from the show on superdry.com.

Pretty Green SS17
Another favpurite has to Pretty Green SS17 Presented where they hosted a rock n’ roll event, celebrating the launch of the label’s exclusive Best of British S/S 17 collections and collaborations. The Apartments at the Hoxton in Holborn, Central London, played host to the event. Soho Radio broadcast live on the night with resident DJ’s Simone Marie and Eddie Pillar both playing during the event.
With a theme of ‘Best of British’ the SS17 Black Label collection encapsulated a uniquely British message. The static presentation showed pieces inspired by the psychedelic era of the late ’60’s, featured statement pieces symbolic of that time, blended with classic British style references.
The SS17 Black Label collaboration with British brand John Smedley to produce a capsule collection of knitwear. Key pieces include a knitted striped shirt and our signature paisley that has been digitally printed onto a soft cotton crew neck jumper.
The Pretty Green X John Smedley Collaboration will launch with the Black Label collection in January 2017.
